In reading chapter 6 of Willard's book, I was struck by the simple belief that in fasting and giving up food, the Christian believes with Christ that we have food others do not know about. As we discuss becoming people who can fulfill the law, we must know what purity Christ calls us towards. Is it to be ritually pure or morally pure? Is there a difference? Does Jesus put one before the other? We will have part two next week!
